Skull

This is based on a photo I took of a sculpture by the artist Graham Lang, a piece I've had for many decades. It still haunts me. Once again, the cutout in thin black card is sandwiched between glass and the eye is backed by gold leaf.

This is even more unsettling than the original sculpture. Perhaps it's the tattoo-like markings and the fierceness of the gold-backed eye.
