Mono-arm

A lamp made for a friend who has given me a number of oak floorboards. The base, arms (which are under tension and slightly sprung) and cap are oak and the base is lined with black leather (to match the inside of his new car). The fittings are stainless steel, and the spacers are made from a broom handle and Karndean floor samples. The oak is unstained but treated with a 3:1 mix of bees wax and mineral oil. No expense was spared on the lamp shade: IKEA flower pot - 50p.
