Portrait No 2

This photo was taken of Jim while we were waiting to go on at a Magnificent AKs gig in Stroud. There was a lot of backlighting but I was hoping to get some interesting halo and outline effects. Instead I got the rather unpromising photo on the left. Interestingly, by setting the contrast and brightness almost to the extremes, Jim's pointillist face emerged. It was then cropped and printed on heavy-duty watercolour paper that was then given an artificial deckle.
